Movie: Waterworld (1995)
3) Waterworld begins with a dial/pointer that starts at the 300/400 marker before ticking backwards towards 200/300, i.e. to tell the story of how the world, including it's major cities, first came to be under water. The Mariner is described early on in the movie as "coming from the West", carrying a baby lime tree bearing good fruit that looks more like a Bonzai tree. The first main action scene features the Smokers "coming from the Sun" themed with military clothes and vehicles - some wearing gas mask looking balaclavas and others with breathing equipment. The Smokers are spreading smoke and what could be interpreted as Chemtrails in a circle around the central pole of the Mariner's trimaran. In the next scene a drifter tells the Mariner that he just came from a refugee camp, showing him a paper with the message "come aboard" as well as "children and infants". There is larger Japanese writing superimposed. The paper is taken from a China Airlines brochure, though this is not obvious to the casual viewer. The second half of the movie, on-board the decks of the Smoker's slave ship, resembles a concentration camp with hundreds of refugees of all ages. The ship is named after the real-life Exxon Valdez, which was involved in an oil spill - and the villain has a portrait of Joseph Hazelwood who sailed it - i.e. the elite Smokers could have got rich from oil. They have stockpiled lots of tinned food, including spam called SMEAT, which could be interpreted as "smoked out before stockpiling food/meat to eat". This food is given out on-board to the refugees whose faces appear filthy, unhealthy and impoverished. Besides Smirnoff there are boxes of vodka named Black Death among the canned meat - with an upside-down box saying "west" - preceded by a scene showing drawings of life! The girl accompanying the Mariner and Helen, named Enola (after the plane that dropped a nuclear bomb on Japan) has a map leading to the sanctuary of dry-land with an arrow pointing upwards to mountains and coordinates (86 56 27 59) for Mount Everest - but the writing is in Japanese. There is some emphasis on the "rising sun" during the movie. More paper is later recovered headed "China Airlines - Dynasty Fleet Facts"; Wiki states "Japan is the most important market of the carrier, with over 180 flights weekly from multiple points in Taiwan to 14 Japanese destinations". The Deacon has a calendar and framed painting on his wall showing a utopia in the mountains. His map to dry-land shows a straight horizontal line going east from what is presumably mount Everest (M) to roughly the area of Japan. There is also a National Geographic magazine with the words "New World Metropolis".

Movie: Waterworld (1995)
4) Waterworld features a lot of references to the Globe Earth deception. The "mad scientist" in the movie (as I refer to him) has an observatory that resembles the dome/firmament, with a transparent view of the surrounding water. In there he discusses astronomy with mentions of "Polaris", "horizon" and "straight line", and it sounds like he even mentions the word "dome" too. There are several scenes with "boats going over the horizon" and with close-ups of the Sun and Moon to make them appear the same size on the horizon. Two of the Smokers tasked with deciphering a map tattooed on a girl's back, also discuss astronomy, and say it would have been better if the map was "flat", and they reiterate the word "flat", discussing the possibility of cutting it off her back, stretching it out and mounting it. The Elders of the atoll are seen wearing hats based on the design of the UN logo/flat-earth map framed by 33 partitions (the main villain also has an umbrella to the same hat design). An underwater scene features Helen in a vessel surrounded by fire flares (shouldn't be possible underwater) akin to the dome/firmament with stars and water against it. Helen is shown to almost be flooded inside the vessel against the backdrop of a destroyed city submerged beneath water. Some National Geographic magazines had been discovered showing "mad weather" flooding and a picture of a village with a church; another issue showed primitive bushmen who "must eat their meal in the rain". Upon returning to the surface the dial/pointer on-board the trimaran is shown to jump backwards from 700/800 to 200/300. Incidentally, an earlier scene in the movie measures some dirt at 3.2 kg. The crew discussing Waterworld in the documentary Maelstrom: The Odyssey of Waterworld stated that A Boy and His Dog (set in 2024) was an influence for the movie. During the last hour of Waterworld is mention of a (geographical) "pole-shift", but then the "mad scientist" (has test tubes for measuring water levels) is shown to be breaking through the domed observatory using an invented flying machine of sorts, describing the event as "an accident".

3) When the crew are preparing for the mission an image of the earth can be seen projected onto the wall beneath the numbers "223". The image of the earth then falls and disappears, i.e. 2023 = the fall of the world.

9) Some crew members that remain in the cave are being "tracked" by a green computer system on-board the ship that shows 3 red numbers moving around the screen: "2","3", and "6" in the context of "holocaust planning". One anomaly is detected as being alive, but soon disappears off the radar. The crew members discuss going "East" instead of "West" - fading to a scene with Dr. Shaw (the main star) eating Japanese noodles.

2) On-board a spaceship the crew, leaving for a colonizing mission and carrying a collection of embryos, experience a power surge after their sails (resembling satellites) are hit by a "highly-charged shockwave from a nearby solar ignition" having "absorbed the full burn of the storm". "475" and "236" are seen on the glass of a sleep chamber of which one crew member is suddenly engulfed in flames - a looking glass world to the other crew members who can do nothing to save him. The new captain of the ship describes the disaster: they lost 47 colonists - 16 x 2nd generation embryos minus 1 crew member - loosely translatable as 4-7-25.

4) The spaceship finds a habitable planet with some humans that "shouldn't be there". During the approach some storms are seen to be in progress with lightning from above the clouds occurring across most of the world, along with detected tornadoes. A daughter ship is released, and they make it through the storms, landing in a peaceful place with misty lakes and mountains. Their destination is 8 km to the west - but "at a considerable elevation". The spaceship touches down on water and there is a warning about potential damaged firearms and explosives; the numbers "23" and "345" are shown.
